I was born in a small town in Minnesota, but moved at a young age to Portland, Oregon.
As a child, I’d fawn over my mom’s makeup, admiring the different colors and textures.
Growing up in dance and the arts constantly surrounded me with creative influences. When my mom remarried, as fate would have it, my stepfather was a film producer.
Hearing stories of his days on movie sets, along with visiting him while at work, inspired me to pursue makeup as a career.
At the age of 18, I enrolled in and graduated from the Master Makeup Artistry Program, at Makeup Designory (MUD) in Burbank, California.
My love for horror movies finally came to fruition as I learned to create my own monsters and characters. Working at multiple FX shops after school, I became experienced in mold making, fabrication, sculpting, running and applying prosthetics.
I continued my education in the field of makeup and skin by receiving my California Esthetics License from the Aveda Institute.
Now, I get to play for a living! Bringing characters to life, whether it’s enhancing beauty or creating something (intentionally) gruesome.
I have been fortunate enough that my career has led me to work in multiple countries around the world. I strive to continue to expand my knowledge in the field and the endless possibilities this career provides me.
I'm always open to new experiences because there’s nothing I love more than challenging myself!
